How Lianyi Helps Clients
Lianyi’s practice focuses on providing business immigration solutions for clients throughout the U.S. She assists clients in accomplishing their immigration goals through innovative counseling. Lianyi is a graduate of Howard University School of Law. During law school, Lianyi served as a student attorney in the Fair Housing Clinic. As a student attorney, Lianyi counseled clients and provided legal representation pertaining to housing code violations. Before joining Buchanan, she spent her 2L summer as a Summer Associate with the firm, where she had the pleasure of conducting research on various legal issues. While in law school, Lianyi also had the opportunity to intern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She participated in multiple mediations and developed alternative dispute resolution skills through hands-on practical experience bridging theory and practice during her time there. Additionally, Lianyi has assisted with domestic violence pro-bono disputes.

Her clients can trust her to listen to their needs and desired results and to offer them competent and realistic legal advice. As an immigrant herself, she can understand the process they are going through and assist them in accomplishing their goals.
Outside the Office
Lianyi was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends when she is not assisting her clients. Lianyi loves to travel and explore different cities in the world. She has visited over fifteen countries and enjoys being exposed to different cultures and traditions through these authentic encounters.
