Lauren has experience in all aspects of comprehensive litigation from conducting research on complex legal issues and drafting dispositive motions to participating as counsel at depositions, oral arguments, preparing for trial, and settlement negotiation.

Outside the Office
A native to the Princeton, N.J. area, Lauren enjoys reading historical fiction novels and traveling with her husband. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a gemologist, and her favorite course in college was Gems and Gemology.

- Lauren worked on a team that represented a nursing home facility in a premises liability case brought by a home care agency careworker. In the case, Lauren assisted in arguing under the New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Act that the injured careworker’s exclusive remedy was worker’s compensation coverage for medical treatment. The Court awarded Summary Judgment Dismissal.
- Lauren has contributed to the resolution of employment matters while at Buchanan. Lauren assisted in trial preparation for a long-term care management company in jury trial venued in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York, where a unanimous jury returned a defense verdict and found plaintiff liable for spoliation counterclaims. Lauren has also assisted in the preparation of a summary judgment motion, which led to the dismissal of all claims against a long-term care facility, in a case involving New Jersey CEPA and Pierce v. Ortho Pharmaceutical claims brought by a former employee.
- Lauren worked on a team that successfully argued for a complete Summary Judgment Dismissal in a complex business and real estate dispute.
- Lauren has assisted in the handling of complex environmental litigation and remediation matters within New Jersey. She has worked on matters involving allocation of liability between adjacent landowners where both parties have contributed to groundwater contamination. She also has assisted in the representation of various manufacturers related to the cleanup of historical soil and groundwater contamination. Lauren assisted in the representation of a company and licensed site remediation professional, favorably defending against the site owner and operator’s indemnification demand.
