The National Labor Relations Board ("NLRB") again has postponed the date by which employers must post the Employee Rights notice to April 30, 2012. Originally, the NLRB required the postings to be completed by November 14, 2011, but then delayed the deadline to January 31, 2012. The most recent delay is due to pending lawsuits challenging the NLRB's authority to require employers to post the notice.

Unless there are further delays or court orders that bar the posting, most private sector employers will be required to post an 11- by 17-inch notice by April 30, 2012. A model notice is available from the NLRB on its web site, www.nlrb.gov.
