Ivette Arango O’Doski is a member of Buchanan’s government relations practice in Tallahassee. She has more than 15 years of experience as an attorney and government relations professional with a focus on state and local affairs in Miami-Dade County.

Ivette previously served as vice president of government and community relations for the Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership, which encourages business growth and expansion in Miami-Dade County and supports investment in the community. In this capacity, Ivette advocated on behalf of the Beacon Council before government entities and state agencies and was responsible for advising on public policy and political issues of relevance to the Beacon Council’s mission. She also set forth strategies to create relationships and alliances that did not exist as well as strengthen current connections.

Prior to her tenure at the Beacon Council, Ivette worked for Miami-Dade County’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and in coordination with the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s office compiled the County’s state legislative agenda and coordinated and managed state contract and subcontract lobbying firms for Miami-Dade County.

Ivette became a practicing attorney in 2000 after graduating that year from the University of Miami School of Law. She spent five years at a Miami law firm handling residential and commercial real estate transactions and securities litigation matters, before venturing into the public sector and the public-private and non-profit business sectors. Ivette is fluent in Spanish.

In addition to being active in the Miami community and a member of a number of professional associations, Ivette was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design.
