Harrisburg, PA, September 8, 2009 — Pulmonary experts from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Temple Lung Center, Geisinger Health System, University of Pennsylvania and Penn State/Hershey Medical Center are joining forces on September 14-15, for an event to show support for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) research and awareness in Pennsylvania. In honor of National IPF Awareness Week, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the downtown Harrisburg Hilton Hotel on September 14, and attendees will be meeting with key members of the House and Senate and important staff people on the morning of September 15.

The seminar, which is free of charge, will present timely information, new research findings and medical advice available to help IPF patients and their families cope with the disease's condition.
