How Eric Helps Clients
Eric devotes his practice to the healthcare industry, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and medical schools, as well as healthcare providers, executives and administrators.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Eric served as in-house counsel at Geisinger, an integrated health system comprised of multiple hospitals, a medical school, and an array of specialty and primary care facilities. He counseled Geisinger in all aspects of healthcare law, including litigation, transactions, scope of practice, HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback and other regulatory issues.
While earning his law degree at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Eric also obtained a master’s degree from the medical school’s Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy. He served on the board for the Penn Health Law and Policy Project. He also led legal research projects for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and served as a law clerk for the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Eric takes great interest in the operational and medical aspects of healthcare. He works to master and simplify applicable law, in order to make the legal aspects of healthcare relatable and accessible to those in the industry.

Eric enjoys sports, pets, travel, exploring Philadelphia, and spending time with family and friends.
