With the announcement of the formation of a PA task force by Gov. Tom Wolf to help Commonwealth agencies, the natural gas industry and communities across the state to "collaborate more effectively" in anticipation of thousands of miles of natural gas pipeline infrastructure, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Energy Shareholders Alan M. Seltzer and John F. Povilaitis have identified what they’re calling the “Pennsylvania Solution.”

Recently published on Pennlive.com and Law360, Seltzer and Povilaitis are calling for a solution to address gas infrastructure as a result of the Shale gas revolution that Pennsylvania continues to see.

“The governor's task force may want to consider if legislative and regulatory changes are needed to implement a new framework for the siting of intrastate gas pipeline infrastructure, especially where the public importance of a project makes a compelling case for it being built,” the two write.
