Elisa Basnight presented "Strategies for Successful Small Business: Getting Started and Getting it Right" on June 5, as part of the 2012 Philadelphia and Chester Entrepreneur Works multi-part Business Skills Course that is designed to teach the fundamentals of running a small business. Elisa's segment, which was a three (3) hour interactive lecture, covered corporate formation, intellectual property basics, liability and commercial contract strategies for start-up entrepreneurs.

The course was hosted by Entrepreneur Works, a non-profit 501(c)(3) microenterprise development organization focused on growing businesses and jobs in local communities. By connecting hundreds of entrepreneurs each year with access to capital, one-on-one technical assistance, business training and networking opportunities in the Greater Philadelphia region, Entrepreneur Works helps promising individuals to develop economic self-sufficiency and create job opportunities through business ownership.
