Doug has concentrated his legal practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate control, executive compensation, and contract and technology licensing and services matters. He also acts as a liaison with business clients requiring services of the firm's Tax, Litigation, Healthcare, Financial Institutions, Real Estate, Employment and Intellectual Property Groups.
Doug has represented the nation's largest privately held information technology services company and the nation's leading provider of unclaimed intangible property services. He also acts as general counsel for more than 15 companies. His clients have included a diverse group of middle market companies including publishers, manufacturers, distributors and investment advisory services as well as a variety of healthcare-related businesses.
Active in the management of the firm, Doug serves on the Project and Process Management Committee and Conflicts Resolution Committee and is a past member of the firm's Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Compensation and Promotions Committee (Advisory Committee), serving as its co-chair. In addition, he has served as Chief Development Officer. In that role, he created the firm's first Leadership Development Program, which is considered to be unique among law firms nationwide. Doug also directed the firm's efforts to implement current best leadership practices among its various practice groups and initiated the firm’s training programs for business development.

Outside the Office
When he's not helping clients, Doug enjoys time with his wife and their two grown children. He exercises his body and brain by working out, traveling and reading.
Doug also donates his time to help those who struggle with substance abuse and provides pro bono assistance to mentally and physically disabled persons seeking Social Security Disability benefits.
