A May 15, 2009, article published in the Beaver County Times noted Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's State Government Relations Practice and the lobbying work it recently received on behalf of Beaver County, located outside of Pittsburgh.

According to the article, the Beaver County Commissioners voted Thursday, May 14, to hire the firm to lobby in Harrisburg for federal stimulus money.

"We want someone in Harrisburg, just like we have someone in Washington, finding out what Beaver County can get,” commissioners Chairman Tony Amadio said. "If you don't have somebody there watching and monitoring, there's no way to know."

Amadio told the paper that the firm will "navigate through the state bureaucracy to bring stimulus money back to the county as well as pursue grants."

"This gives us a seat at the table," he said.
