On October 22, 2010, the Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA) together with The Energy Forum, LLC, will present Marcellus Safety 2010 — "Exploring Technologies & Processes Making Development of the Marcellus Safer and Public's Perceptions of Safety vs. Industry's Reality."

Marcellus Safety 2010 will cover both operational and environmental issues, and will address the following topics:

What technologies and processes are improving safety and the bottom line?
How do we assure our operations are safe?
What are "good" safety practices?
What is the public's perception of our safety processes?
Where are perceptions incorrect and how can we best communicate our industry's reality?
