TAMPA, Fla.—November 9, 2015—Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney today announced the opening of its newly consolidated office in Tampa, Fla. The firm, which previously had two Tampa offices located in the BMO Harris Plaza and Sun Trust Financial Centre, has now consolidated to a single location at SunTrust Financial Centre, 401 E. Jackson Street, Suite 2400, Tampa, FL 33602-5236. More than 50 attorneys will work out of the new space, which encompasses more than 32,000 square feet over two floors.

The newly designed office space is expected to fuel the firm’s unified culture and renewed commitment to work with our clients in innovative ways.

"We wanted our new space to foster open client communications, lawyer-to-lawyer collaboration, creative brainstorming and innovative thinking,” said Rhea F. Law, chair of the firm’s Florida offices. "To do that, we created more flexible, state-of-the-art spaces.”

Features of the new office include a more sophisticated communications system with quicker meeting sharing resources, such as desktop video and interactive document-sharing, and follow-me capabilities, allowing attorneys to communicate seamlessly from their computer, mobile device or throughout any of the firm’s 20 offices.

The design includes flexibility for reconfiguring staff and attorney spaces to plan for future growth. It also offers "collaboration rooms” to encourage attorneys and their clients to brainstorm. Consistent with the firm’s wellness initiative, ergonometric improvements to workspaces were made to facilitate work flow in an environment more conducive to better health.

Dale S. Webber
, head of Buchanan’s national health care practice, will continue as co-managing shareholder of the Tampa office alongside Hala A. Sandridge, head of the firm’s appellate practice.

"The goal of our new design is first and foremost to foster a working environment that will be most productive for our attorneys and clients,” said Webber.

"We are excited to be leaving the legal office design of the past and moving into space designed to allow our attorneys and staff to better connect and more efficiently service our clients with cutting edge communications and technology,” added Sandridge.

There are approximately 100 attorneys and government relations professionals in the firm’s offices throughout Florida, including Tampa, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Miami and Tallahassee. Buchanan provides its clients access to a full array of legal services, helping to maximize their ability to meet client goals and objectives.
