MIAMI – April 12, 2016 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announces that Ivette A. O’Doski has joined the firm as senior advisor in its Government Relations section in Miami. O’Doski is the latest in a string of hires in the section in Florida, effectively doubling its size in less than a year.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ivette to our government relations section in Florida. As the section continues its strong growth, we believe Ivette’s impressive experience and her extensive community involvement and outreach will be a great addition to the firm,” said Mac Stipanovich, chair of Buchanan’s Florida state government relations section.

Prior to joining Buchanan, O’Doski served as vice president of government and community relations for the Beacon Council and worked for the Miami-Dade County’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. She began her legal career as a practicing attorney in 2000 at a Miami law firm, handling residential and commercial real estate transactions and securities litigation matters.

O’Doski earned her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. She is an active member of several non-profit organizations in the Miami-Dade area and belongs to a number of professional associations, including the Florida Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and serves as an advisory board member for the Center for Ethics and Public Service at the University of Miami. O’Doski is a graduate of Leadership Florida Class XXX and in 2014 was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design.
