Pittsburgh – January 7, 2014 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced today that Labor & Employment Co-Chair and Shareholder Gregory A. Miller will serve as the firm’s general counsel. He succeeds shareholder John Leathers, who served as the firm’s general counsel for almost 10 years. Sue C. Friedberg and Darice McNelis will continue to serve as associate general counsel to the firm.

“Much of the experience I’ve gained during my career will be useful in advancing the firm’s goals as inside counsel,” stated Miller, who has built a strong practice with the firm over the past 20 years.

Gregory A. Miller's practice has encompassed a range of employer counseling and employment litigation issues. In addition to co-chairing the Labor & Employment Section, he has previously served in a number of leadership positions with the firm and on its Board. He has been named to the Best Lawyers in America® list for the past three years. Miller received his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from The Penn State Dickinson School of Law. He received his M.S. degree from Florida Institute of Technology, and his B.S. degree in industrial engineering from West Virginia University.
