Buchanan Chairman Tom VanKirk Quoted in Pittsburgh Business Times Article on Obama's 'Small Business Focus'

Thomas L. VanKirk, chairman and immediate past CEO of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, was quoted in an article published in the January 29, 2010, edition of the Pittsburgh Business Times. The article, titled "Obama’s small business focus resonates with local leaders," discussed President Obama's recent State of the Union speech, which, according to the article, focused much on small businesses.

As noted, "Obama said jobs 'must be our No. 1 focus in 2010,'" which, as explained in the article, struck a chord with many in the Pittsburgh community.

VanKirk was among other area business leaders who weighed in on Obama's speech saying, "I am glad he is still committed to change, including health care reform, but puts much greater stress on improving the economy. I hope the Republicans and Democrats can work together to improve the economy, rather than look for political advantage in every vote they make."
