Alexandria, Va. – July 9, 2014 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is proud to announce that Senior Attorney Michael Britton has set up a scholarship fund at Temple University College of Engineering for a student studying Mechanical Engineering.

The scholarship, which Britton set up in honor of his parents, Allen and Lore, will be awarded to a graduate of a Northeast High School in Philadelphia.

Britton graduated from Temple University’s College of Engineering in 1985 and currently is on the Board of Visitors for the college. He received his law degree from Rutgers School of Law-Camden.

He focuses his legal practice in prosecuting utility patent applications and has experience protecting intellectual property in diverse technologies, including HVAC, power generation, solar power technology, automotive, personal hygiene products, semiconductor fabrication, video processing and display, bio-medical devices, image reproduction and electro-optics.
