How Ashley Helps Clients
Ashley represents clients in commercial litigation and employment law in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies.
While in law school, Ashley served as a student attorney in Howard University School of Law’s Fair Housing Clinic and Investor Justice and Education Clinic, as a summer associate with Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, and as an intern with the District of Columbia Housing Authority.
Ashley was selected and worked as a Henry Ramsey Dean’s Fellow and served as the Problems and Briefs Co-Chair for the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team. She also served as President of the Howard Public Interest Law Society, where she oversaw organization of the annual auction held to raise money to provide fellowship funding to students taking unpaid public interests internships.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Ashley worked as a law clerk at a Kenner, Louisiana, firm after she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Karen Wells Roby of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
What Clients Can Expect
In order to effectively represent her clients’ interests, Ashley focuses on developing a thorough understanding of their business and objectives. Her creativity, research skills and close attention to detail allow her to effectively address the most intricate legal problems. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Ashley is committed to the big picture and strives to develop case strategies that are aggressive and cost-effective.
You must keep your mind on the objective, not on the obstacle.
Outside the Office
Ashley is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers with the Northside Outreach Center of Richmond, VA. She also pays it forward by volunteering with her law school moot court team, whether it be grading briefs, mooting a team member or serving as judge for a competition.
Ashley is an avid football fan, and you can find her cheering on (or yelling at) her ‘Hoos and Steelers. When she is not assisting clients, Ashley enjoys traveling, singing, dancing and spending time with her loved ones.
