Andrew P. Watto focuses his practice on all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions and trial preparation.
He began his legal career as an associate at a litigation defense law firm out of Philadelphia, where he served as local counsel for a generic drug manufacturer, coordinating over 2,000 cases in Philadelphia’s mass tort program. His practice has since focused on general litigation matters, including professional liability, products liability, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and breach of contract matters in state and federal court.
During his time at Drexel University’s School of Law, Andrew clerked with the Honorable Mark I. Bernstein. He worked in the Court of Common Pleas’ Commerce Program that handles matters involving a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters. Andrew also worked as a law clerk at a Philadelphia litigation defense firm. He also volunteered in Drexel’s Estate Planning Clinic working with low income and elderly residents in Philadelphia.
Andrew gained experience prior to law school in the insurance industry as an insurance adjuster for an automobile insurance company working successively in the areas of property, casualty and litigation. As a litigation adjuster, Andrew worked closely with defense counsel, negotiated settlements and appeared at mediations, settlement conferences and trials.
