Amanda G. Chafin concentrates her practice on the representation and counseling of management with respect to all types of employment-related disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including matters involving allegations of sexual harassment, disability discrimination, FMLA violations, race and national origin discrimination, wrongful discharge and violation of wage and hour and wage payment laws.
In addition, Amanda’s practice includes counseling employers on diverse personnel-related issues including: compliance with discrimination laws; compliance with military and other medical and family leave laws; hiring, evaluating and discharging employees; drug and alcohol testing; developing personnel policies and employee handbooks; and pay practices and employee benefits.
In 2017 and 2018, Amanda was named to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
Prior to joining the firm, Amanda was a student attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender. She also served as a legal intern in the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.
