William Lenahan's practice concentrates on representing health care providers in reimbursement matters, criminal and civil sanction cases, licensure and certification revocation actions as well as contractual and transactional matters. He focuses on counseling and advocating for health care providers for federal, state and other third party reimbursement, contract drafting and negotiation, licensing and professional credentialing.
William also represents providers under review for Medicare, Medicaid or other third-party sanction actions and addresses provider regulatory concerns before the Pennsylvania departments of Public Welfare, Health, Aging and State and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
He gained the experience necessary to represent health care providers in these highly technical areas through serving five years as a staff attorney in the legal office of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, followed by five years as a supervising attorney.
William currently works with large and small hospitals, nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled, providers of services to people with intellectual disabilities or autism, public and private mental health providers, community health centers and individual and group health care practitioners. He also represents home health care agencies, pharmacies, laboratories and provider service associations, in addition to entrepreneurs and consumers in the health care industry.
