Tampa Bay Pro Bono Partnership Hosts Kickoff Reception

Tampa – October 31, 2014 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney recently sponsored the kickoff reception for the Tampa Bay Pro Bono Partnership – a project in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Bar Association Community Services Committee that teams in-house counsel with law firm attorneys to provide pro bono services to those in need.

“We are excited to bring together such talented and dedicated attorneys who we know will enjoy working together to serve those in need,” Sarah and Traci said regarding the initiative.

The program’s kickoff reception featured keynote speaker, David Cohen, General Counsel of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a message of judicial support from the Honorable Matthew C. Lucas.

“Pro Bono work has always been a large part of Buchanan’s culture. This is the type of partnership that has the power to inspire other organizations to become involved and help out as much as they can,” Peter J. Ennis, co-chair of the firm’s pro bono committee said.

The kickoff reception was well-attended by the judiciary, in-house counsel and local attorneys. Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney was proud to be the top-tier “Champion” sponsor of the event.
