A recent article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette titled, “Speaker Will Share Best Practices in Building a Diverse Workforce,” discussed the importance of the city of Pittsburgh’s growth and ability to retain a diverse workforce.

Shareholder and chair of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s diversity committee, Susan Yohe told the Post-Gazette that “[a] diverse workforce comes up with better ideas,” and that increasing diversity in companies is “the right thing to do.”

“Our clients demand it,” Yohe further explained. After attending a workshop in August on best practices in diversity and inclusion, she said, “[y]ou’re reminded of why you care and why other people care, and you go out of there with a great sense of energy.”
