Pittsburgh, PA, December 7, 2010 — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2011, Litigation attorney Susan A. Yohe will assume the role of managing shareholder of the firm's Pittsburgh office. While the firm has appointed women as office managing shareholders in its Delaware and Princeton offices, this is the first time a woman has served in this role for the firm's headquarter office. Yohe will handle management and recruitment for the firm's Pittsburgh office, and she will continue serving as chair of the firm's Diversity Committee and as a member of the firm's E-Discovery Team.

"Susan is a progressive thinker and a natural leader," stated Jack Barbour, the firm's CEO and chairman of the board. "We feel confident in our decision to appoint Susan for this position."

In her legal practice, Yohe represents clients engaged in litigation, helping them to reach their business goals whether they are plaintiffs or defendants. She has more than 30 years of experience in the courtroom, in both federal and state courts and at both the trial and appellate level.

Yohe has been elected by her peers in the trial bar to the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers. She has been selected in multiple years as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, as well as one of the Best Lawyers in America in commercial litigation. She is also the recipient of the award given annually by the Women in Law Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association in memory of Third Circuit Judge Carol Los Mansmann for mentoring young attorneys. Yohe previously served as co-chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Women in Law Division, chair of the Federal Court Section, and vice-chair of the Business Law Section. She also served for six years on the Allegheny County Bar Foundation's board of trustees. She has been appointed twice to committees charged with reviewing the performance of U.S. Magistrate Judges.

Yohe received her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was the Law Review note editor, and was a member of the Order of the Coif. She earned her B.A. degree, with honors, from The Pennsylvania State University.
