Shareholder Katie Jones Goldman Noted in RNLA Newsletter for Role in Provisional Ballots Mock Trial Simulation

Buchanan Shareholder Katie Jones Goldman was recently noted in the Republican National Lawyers Association’s (RNLA) newsletter for her participation in the Provisional Ballots Mock Trial simulation during the RNLA Election Conference held in New York City.

The mock trial demonstrated a number of matters that regularly happen in the provisional voting process, such as lack of appropriate signatures, missing affidavits, ballots not being sealed correctly, secrecy envelopes missing and voters providing inappropriate ballots as instructed by poll workers.

Goldman, RNLA Board of Governor member, represented one candidate in the mock trial and navigated the various pitfalls associated with provisional ballots.
