Prior to joining Buchanan, Landon served as a law clerk for the Honorable Walter K. Stapleton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. From 2004 to 2005, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Anita B. Brody of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Landon has recently:

  • Obtained a complete trial victory for client Cook Composites and Polymers in a five-week federal jury trial stemming from a $405 million lawsuit filed by Viking Yacht Company and Post Marine.
  • Defended a multinational chemical manufacturing company against direct and indirect purchaser and opt-out class action antitrust lawsuits filed in federal and state courts across the country, challenging activities with regard to three categories of products.
  • Contributed to successful Rule 23(f) appeal resulting in the decertification of a class of Hydrogen Peroxide purchasers and the clarification of class certification standards in a landmark ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in a Sherman Act §1 case.
  • Defended a composites chemical manufacturing company in a $400 million alleged breach of warranty case.
  • Assisted in representation of Korean business executive under criminal investigation for alleged international price fixing activities.
  • Successfully challenged the constitutionality of the campaign contribution limit of the Pennsylvania Gaming Act in a case of first impression before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
  • Assisted with representation of Thomas Jefferson University in connection with a potential challenge to its sale of Thomas Eakins's painting "The Gross Clinic."
  • Represented a biotechnology company in successful mediation of breach of contract claims.
