Pittsburgh Litigation Shareholder Mark R. Hornak Endorsed for Federal Bench

Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) endorsed Pittsburgh Litigation Shareholder Mark R. Hornak for federal judge in the Western District of Pennsylvania, as noted in a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article published June 8, 2011.

The endorsement allows the Senate Judiciary Committee to move ahead with confirming Hornak, who was originally nominated by President Obama in December of last year.

Hornak and fellow nominee Cathy Bissoon "were not confirmed before the new Congress convened," the Post-Gazette explained. "Mr. Obama renominated them in January and Mr. Toomey announced Tuesday that he would submit 'blue slips' to the Judiciary Committee indicating his approval" of the nominations.
