Pittsburgh Health Care Attorney Robert Harper to Present at 15th Annual Health Law Institute

Robert T. Harper, co-chair of the Health Care Section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, will make a presentation at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's 15th Annual Health Law Institute. The seminar will take place March 12 and 13, 2009, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

On Friday, March 13, Harper will present "Advanced Governance Matters: Fairness Opinions, AG Compliance." The workshop will explore advanced governance matters related to business transactions by health care facilities, including mergers, divestitures, operational combinations and contractual alliances. The presentation will also focus on fiduciary duties, the fundamentals of valuation and fairness opinions, and attorney general oversight and participation in fundamental transactions.
