Pittsburgh, PA, November 6, 2009 — On November 6, 2009, Robert L. Burns, Jr. — counsel in the Environmental Law section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, met with a group from the Czech Republic to discuss the legal aspects of green building development. Invited to meet with the group by GlobalPittsburgh and through an initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, Burns shared his vast knowledge of the purchase and development of green buildings with Michal Bartos, Jan Horcick, Vladimir Stupavsky and Petr Zahradnik.

Burns has been certified as an accredited professional under the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standard issued by the U.S. Green Building Council.
