  • Won an appeal to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court where the lower court's decision, finding that the injured was an employee rather than an independent contractor, was reversed. As a result of the court's decision, the client had no obligation to pay ongoing benefits. In addition, the employer received a substantial reimbursement for the overpayment of benefits.
  • Obtained summary judgment for the defense in an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) case involving non-work related injuries suffered in an automobile accident. 2011 WL 2690358 (W.D. Pa.)
  • Represented a food and beverage supplier in a labor arbitration dispute involving the interpretation of the labor agreement and whether the employer had the right to modify work rules during the course of a contract.
  • Represented a restaurant in a real estate dispute arising out of a lease agreement. The landlord was attempting to evict the client as a result of a dispute surrounding lease payments. The case was resolved through the mediation process. The client vacated the premises and was not responsible to pay the remaining term of the lease.
