Patrick C. Keane and Philip L. Hirschhorn will present at the 2013 International Series: Korea-US IP Judicial Program in Seoul, South Korea on October 21-22, 2013. Keane speak as a panelist on “Patent and Fair Trade” along with Judge Theodore Essex of the International Trade Commission. Hirschhorn will address “Pharma: Patent Approval Linkage System” on the advent of Korea’s new generic drug legislation with a panel including Chief Judge Randall R. Rader of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

The conference will be attended by thought leaders in all sectors: government, judicial, litigation and corporate and consisted of meetings with judges from each nation, parallel seminars, observations from the heads of the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office and a mock trial.

The two day conference is a collaboration of The Judiciary of Republic of Korea, including the Korean Patent Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, along with IP-related state agencies, academia and businesses from both nations.
