Stuart Slotnick, managing shareholder of the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's New York office, was on hand for the first-ever "Working On a Dream" fundraising event, held May 10th on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. He was a planning committee member for the event, which raised more than $300,000 toward the Newmark School system's $10 million capital campaign to build a new, state-of-the art educational facility in Scotch Plains, N.J.

The new school will cater to children with Autism, ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Asperger's Syndrome, Bipolar disorder, PPD-NOS, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Sensory Integration Disorder.

As noted by Business Insider, "the project broke ground this spring, and the new facility will be able to capitalize on Newmark's teaching methods, and provide a statewide teacher training institute as well as a regional special needs community center for children and families facing common challenges."
