Stuart Slotnick, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney New York litigation shareholder, was quoted in an article published on December 1, 2010, to E! Online's write-in answer column. The article questioned the Kardashian sisters's legal liability for an endorsement of a specialty MasterCard.

As reported, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe withdrew their endorsement of the prepaid debit card, which is being investigated by Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal for charging "fees not normally associated with legitimate debit cards."

Slotnick told E! Online's Leslie Gornstein that the Kardashian sisters have little skin in the legal game.

"It unlikely that they had much business involvement if it is a typical licensing deal," he said. "They could be sued, but if it's a standard licensing deal we can suspect they would be dismissed from any complaint."
