Matthew J. Feeley, shareholder in Buchanan's Litigation section, was featured in a Daily Business Review article titled, "Facing Compliance Investigations Abroad? Better Know the Rules!" With the increase in corruption investigations in Latin America, U.S law firms have been eager to expand their white-collar practice but need to be cautious of complying with foreign regulations.

"It presents some major challenges to traditional American investigation techniques," said Matthew J. Feeley, a partner with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney who has conducted internal investigations in 22 countries over the last 12 years. "You have to throw out all of our American concepts about what's allowed and not allowed when you are doing these things overseas and understand what is going to be permitted legally and culturally where you are doing an investigation."
