She represents a wide range of employers in many facets of the design, implementation and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and a range of health and welfare plans.
With respect to retirement plans, Lynn has experience advising and assisting for-profit and not-for-profit clients on the overall design, implementation and administration of their executive compensation plans, including 457(b) plans and 457(f) plans. This experience includes advising clients on compliance with Code Section 409A.
Lynn also has experience advising clients on qualified retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, profit-sharing plans, cash balance plans and traditional defined-benefit plans for single-employer plans, collectively bargained plans and multiple-employer plans.
This experience includes many aspects of the plans from design and implementation (including reviewing trust agreements and investment policies) to ongoing administration (including the review of claims, the review of qualified domestic relations orders and the preparation of reasonable cause statements to reduce IRS penalties for late filings).
With respect to health and welfare plans, Lynn has experience in the design, implementation and administration of various health and welfare plans including medical plans, flexible medical spending reimbursement plans, dependent care reimbursement plans, premium reimbursement plans and vision and dental plans. This experience includes negotiating administrative-only agreements with third-party administrators, responding to claims appeals, preparing required IRS and DOL filings and assisting clients with COBRA and HIPAA portability issues. Lynn also has experience assisting clients with HIPAA privacy compliance.
