A recent article in the Pittsburgh Business Times highlighted a group of Pittsburgh’s top lawyers to share cases or transactions that “put them on the map and propelled their careers forward.” Buchanan’s Kevin P. Lucas was asked to share his story.

"This case arose out of a corporate restructuring and resulting dispute over entitlement to substantial tax refund and insurance expense amounts. It had everything that makes sophisticated business litigation so interesting — ebbs and flows, highs and lows, senior corporate executives as witnesses," Kevin told the publication in regard to a case he worked on from 1989-1996, Allegheny International Inc. v. Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp.

The case “provided a simple but enduring reminder that, as lawyers, we partner with our clients in litigation,” he went on to say.
