John A. “Jack” Barbour, executive chairman at Buchanan, was quoted in a Pittsburg Post-Gazette article “Stadium Authority gives developer more time to start North Shore projects” regarding the extension of the start date of a new office building and a 250-unit apartment complex project on the North Shore on property owned by the Pittsburgh Stadium Authority.

Representing the teams, Jack Barbour, executive chairman of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, said they and Continental did offer to close on the land this year but the stadium authority wanted them to have their permits in place first. “But we’re very excited under all circumstances to move forward with this project. This is the continuation of a very successful project. A seven-story office building is, since it’s close to PNC Park, I will say a home run at this point,” Mr. Barbour said.
