Florida Trend Magazine’s October issue featured an exclusive interview with Jack Barbour, CEO, managing shareholder and chairman of the Board and Rhea F. Law, chair of the firm’s Florida offices. The article, titled "Matchmakers," discusses how Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and Fowler White Boggs "discovered they had complementary objectives" when they decided to merge.

"Merging the firm’s cultures has gone smoothly," Law told the publication. She noted that the two cultures of the firms were "remarkably similar" to begin with.

Barbour and Law described the firm’s recent efforts to become more comfortable with their new colleagues and encourage cross-networking.
"The merger addressed Buchanan’s desire to become a bigger player in Florida and Fowler White’s need to reach the northeast and strengthen some of its practice areas," Florida Trend stated.

The merger has gone "about as well as can be" Barbour stated.
