Heather A. Blandford focuses her practice on energy and natural resources law with a particular emphasis on oil and gas transactions, coal transactions, mineral title work and environmental compliance for the Marcellus Shale and coal industries.
Heather assists industry clients with a variety of acquisition and title-related matters. She has abstracted and drafted title examination opinions for surface, oil and gas and coal interests, performed mineral title due diligence for oil and gas and coal acquisitions, negotiated leases, options and agreements, and drafted a variety of title and operational instruments and agreements. Heather has also represented oil and gas and coal owners, operators and companies in real estate closings, asset acquisitions, property disputes and transactions to cure title to mineral interests.
Heather also assists oil and gas and coal operators in compliance matters related to environmental and safety regulations including obtaining required permits, performing environmental and safety due diligence for mineral asset acquisitions and defending operators in administrative adjudications.
