On April 27, 2010, ESPN's E:60 program posted to its website a segment on the controversy surrounding Penn National Horse Racing Track and Michael Gill — a big-time, race horse owner who is under investigation for possible cruel treatment of his horses. According to the video, 11 of Gill's horses were euthanized over a 10-month period.

The 11-minute video reports on the dispute between Gill and 23 Penn National jockeys represented by Andrew J. Giorgione — a state government relations professional with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Harrisburg office. At about two minutes into the video, a letter prepared by Andrew on behalf of the jockeys was shown. As reported in the video, in the letter the Penn National jockeys "took an unprecedented stand, refusing to ride in races in which Gill's horses were entered." The video went on to report that as a result, to get the jockeys racing again, the Pennsylvania Racing Commission "ejected Gill and one of his trainers."

The dispute is currently being investigated by a state grand jury.
