Charles J. Kolling, Jr., a State Government Relations professional with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Harrisburg office, was quoted in a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review article published December 24, 2009. The article, titled "Heavy hitters to help Pittsburgh mayor," reported on Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's plan to lobby state legislators for money towards the city's pension fund system.

According to the article, nonprofits and businesses in Pittsburgh recently agreed to "contribute an undisclosed amount of money next year to the city and form a coalition to lobby legislators for permission to generate more tax money."

Kolling weighed in saying, Ravenstahl's plan to have others publicly support his agenda is a positive step. He represents government clients, including the city's Urban Redevelopment Authority.

"Anytime you build a coalition, you strengthen and enhance your chances of success," Kolling said.
