Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Executive Shareholder Patrick C. Keane will participate as a member of a five-person discussion panel at the Federal Circuit Bar Association's Global Series: Intellectual Property and Trade program on Monday, May 11. The panel will close out the one-day event and discuss topics, including: Current Status and Prospects in Trade and Intellectual Property: Views From Governments; Commentary on Trade and Intellectual Property: Other Perspectives; Patent Quality: The Impact of Administrative and Judicial Processes and How They Affect Patent Quality; The New Normal in US Patent Litigation: Claim Construction, Fee-Shifting, Damages and More; and Trade Secrets – The Critical Role of Solution.

The Global Series, in collaboration with other organizations, has built a broad global network exploring the best practices in legal systems around the world and how those practices – in terms of both governance and the practice of law – relate to innovation and the betterment of societies. The dialogue includes judges, business leaders, government representatives, and leading practitioners from around the globe, including representatives from the United States, the People’s Republic of China, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, the Republic of Korea and other countries.
