On April 26, Duane Stewart III, Shareholder in Buchanan's Intellectual Property section, attended the 10th Annual Intellectual Property Law Institute, for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and spoke about "Introduction to Trademarks and Copyrights.

On June 2, Duane was also a speaker at the Pennsylvania Treasury Small Business Initiative at the University of Pittsburgh. He addressed Common IP Issues for Small Businesses.
