Doug has represented the nation's largest privately held information technology services company and currently represents the nation's leading provider of unclaimed intangible property services. He also acts as general counsel for more than 15 companies. His clients have included a diverse group of middle market companies including publishers, manufacturers, distributors, investment advisory services as well as a variety of health care-related businesses.
Active in the management of the firm, Doug serves on the Conflicts Resolution Committee and is a past member of the firm's Board of Directors and Compensation and Promotions Committee (Advisory Committee), serving as its co-chair. In addition, he has served as chief development officer. In that role, he created the firm's first Leadership Development Program, which is considered to be unique among law firms nationwide. Doug also directed the firm's efforts to implement current best leadership practices among its various practice groups.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Doug founded a law firm and acted as its chairman and finance director for 12 years. He also served as law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence Prattis of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.
Doug is currently serves as an adjunct professor at Villanova University School of Law.
