Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney attorney Justin Pierce Berutich presented "Crash Course in New Jersey Civil Practice; Part I - From Rule Construction through Case Management" at the February Continuing Legal Education Seminar for Marino Legal CLE, held February 21, at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
Berutich presented Part I, of a two part series, on New Jersey Civil Practice discussing the construction of New Jersey's civil practice rules, organization of the New Jersey courts, parties and joinder, pleadings, service, case management, and pretrial matters. This CLE series is prefect for out-of-state attorneys who practice in New Jersey or New Jersey attorneys, who want a better understand of New Jersey’s rules. Part II of the series will discuss New Jersey’s rules governing discovery, motions, trials, judgments, and attorney’s fees/costs.
