New York University opened a new Washington D.C. campus on September 24, 2012, thanks in part to land donated by NYU alumnus (‘71) and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Shareholder Ronald D. Abramson.

The 75,000 square-foot Constance Milstein and Family Global Academic Center offers curriculum focused on government, politics, public administration and journalism, for up to 120 students per semester. Dubbed a “study away” site since it is within the United States, is the fourteenth NYU-managed academic location.

“On behalf of the entire NYU community, I thank [school namesake] Connie Milstein and Ron Abramson for their wonderful gifts,” said NYU President John Sexton. “Their philanthropy and their belief in us are potent validations of the global academic network NYU is building.”
