An article published in Miami Today covers a slate of Florida healthcare bills that have been re-filed for the 2016 legislative session, which begins in January. Buchanan Senior Principal Keith J. Arnold weighs in, telling the publication that, “the healthcare industry is very concerned about the direction of things we see in Tallahassee.” Noting a significant push to deregulate healthcare, Arnold says that there are few indications that that would lower costs.

Arnold says changes to the CON process are the most shocking. “It does not insure competence or quality. It places the public in a dangerous place.”
