FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- Kelly H. Kolb, shareholder with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, has been appointed to the construction committee for Habitat for Humanity of Broward County.

Kolb has been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 2013. As a committee member, he is responsible for supporting the construction department, determining best practices and identifying talent that is needed to improve the affiliate building process. Broward County has an urgent need for programs that provide stability to low-income families through affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity has shown that with safe, decent, affordable housing, along with access to the proper resources families can provide stability for their children and their sense of dignity and pride grow. In addition, health, physical safety, and security improve as do educational and job prospects.

In his career, Kolb focuses his practice on labor and employment and employment litigation. He has defended employers against employment claims for the past 20 years in state and federal court. He serves clients in the construction, education, marine, healthcare, transportation, aerospace and electronics industries as well as public sector clients. He is also an author, contributor and lecturer on employment issues for publications and audiences across the country.

Kolb earned his JD from Washington University School of Law. He has also earned Martindale-Hubbell’s AV® Preeminent distinction, the highest rating for professional excellence.
