Alexandria, VA, June 15, 2009 — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced this week a change in leadership in the firm's Alexandria office. Intellectual Property shareholder Robert G. Mukai has been named office head. Mukai takes the place of fellow Intellectual Property shareholder William C. Rowland, who was recently elected to serve on the firm's Advisory Committee and, therefore, has stepped down from head of the office. Mukai formerly served on the Advisory Committee; however, his term recently expired.

As explained in a firm-wide announcement from Chairman Thomas L. VanKirk, "This change will enable Bill to devote the time needed to Advisory Committee matters, while Bob will have more time to devote towards office management. We thank both of them for their efforts on behalf of the Alexandria office and the firm."
