Stephen C. Gierasch, managing shareholder of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Harrisburg office and developer Alex Hartzler of WCI Partners joined Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the firm’s new office building at Second & State streets on September 12, 2012.

“We’re investing for the long term, and we believe in Harrisburg for the long term,” Alex Hartzler said. “The future of this city is only going to get brighter.”

Buchanan announced in early 2011 that it planned to move into the new building, and Harrisburg-based WCI Partners led the $7 million construction project, which includes a geothermal heat system and other green features, and is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council as seeking a Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Designation (LEED) rating.
