Wendelynne J. Newton was a speaker at the program "Antitrust Compliance and Antitrust Issues in Business Transactions," presented by the Western Association Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Bar Association In-House Counsel Committee. Wendy is the head of the Pittsburgh Litigation Practice and chairs the firm's Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice Group.

The two-hour, CLE-accredited program addressed antitrust issues and strategies for structuring transactions to avoid antitrust problems. Participants learned why a company compliance program is important today, as well as techniques to help companies understand and abide by the antitrust laws, including the antitrust enforcement agencies' idea of an effective compliance program.

The program took place at the Rivers Club in Pittsburgh.
